Day 4 and more

After 3 days of touring KL, it is time for a new adventure. We headed to the Batu Caves which is a Hindu Temple in a cave. We had to climb 272 steps to get to the cave and on the way up we saw a few monkeys. They seemed tamed but BEWARE!! They would steal your stuff whenever they get a chance. I learned this the hard way*. I was really paranoid by the smell of guano because I learned from National Geographic that roaches eat guano. EWWWWW to roaches.

After a visit to the Batu Caves, Jamaine and I went to visit my aunt, got lost for about an hour, had lunch and then visited my sister. I seriously need a GPS. Both my nephew and my niece loved Jamaine. My nephew got really upset when we had to leave the next day.

We stayed in Seremban for one night and left for Malacca on Saturday. To be continued....

*Stupid monkeys tried to steal my bag that had my passport and other important things in it a couple of years ago.

12 days of adventure

I don't even know where to begin. So many stories to tell.

Jamaine and I spent 3 days in Kuala Lumpur (KL). We stayed at Heritage Hotel which was a dump. But we were barely at the hotel so it didn't really matter. The first day we went to the Petronas Twin Towers and also Midvalley Mega Mall. We saw the movie Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs in 3D. I liked the movie :D

J's obsession with Chicken Rice began the night before. He had chicken rice again on day 2 and once again before he left. He even bought a shirt that said "I <3 chicken rice".

Day 3, we went to the Chinatown in KL, better known as Petaling Street to the locals. Jamaine bought a bunch of things including a watch, 2 t-shirts and cute wobbly head solar powered Asian thing. Jamaine tried the Fish Spa, which was basically little fish eating dead skin cells from your feet. He said it was ticklish.

I'll write more later.

What a weekend

It was a full house on Friday when my sister and her family came back for the weekend and my other sister's boyfriend slept over. Then on Saturday night, we decided to have a bbq. I also made some yummy yummy blondies that had white chocolate and peanut butter in it.

Here's the recipe if you feel like making it.

And I joined a charity run this morning. It was a 7km run. I survived the run and I got number 25 for my category.I'm pretty sure some of the ladies who beat me were pretty old. Well, it felt good to finish the run and I'm happy that I won a usb drive.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDD...my baby is gonna be here soon! really soon :D

That was close

I was called for the third round of interview at Loreal. Today I thought I should check if Loreal does animal testing. Straight to the PETA website to check the list of cosmetic companies that test on animals and there they were.

They are working towards being cruelty free but as of now they are still testing on animals! Until then, I definitely don't want to work for them.

I am bummed that they do animal testing.
I am bummed that sometimes I forget about this issue when I am so excited about buying makeup.
I am bummed that I got so excited about the job that I almost wanted to work for a company that blinds, kills and tortures thousands of animals every year just so they can say "because you're worth it".

Truth is no one is worth the lives of the animals.

Constant Stimulation

Do you ever feel like you are always multitasking? When you watch tv, you feel that it's a waste of time unless you do something else on your computer too(which could also be a waste of time)?

But if you waste your time on two things, it's not a waste of time? Or is that like double wasting? I need to figure this out and come up with some equations.

The truth is, I get nothing done even though I clain that I am multitasking. As I am writing this post, I have been visiting at least 10 other websites. I must focus! Or just chill out and watch tv.

Moto GP

I went to the Moto GP last weekend to accompany my friend Gerardo mostly but I find myself liking the races so much after that. The bikes in the race were cool and the bikes that belong to the people who came for the race were really nice too. I think I might go again next year!!!

One thing that made me mad was that there were no recycling bins at the event at all. With thousands of canned drinks being sold there, I think recycling bins should've been placed all over the circuit. Well I already wrote a letter to the editors at the News Straits Times. We'll see if it gets published. Here's a video of Rossi popping a wheel. Is that how you say it? Enjoy!
